Closest look yet at Ceres' bright spots | Science Wire | EarthSky

These lights, or whatever they are are so cool, it amazes my little mind to no end !!!!!....

  1. You sure are easily entertained. My guess is a pool of liquid, mercury or alien tinfoil trampolines. Circus may be in town.

  2. Supposedly these are supposed to be ice spots reflecting the sun. I find it interesting though in the rotating version of the pic which shows the spots rotating from darkness to full front view that the spots don't change in their brightness or shape. Seems if they were a reflecting surface you would see a difference in the intensity as the spots rotated into a more direct angle to the light and then around to a more obtuse angle. Just seems odd. Let me know what you think. Tim
