ATF Considering Relaxing Import Rules ???

This would be awesome, I can finally get a Chinese AK for under $1000.00

  1. It would gut the US AK and AR markets and put 90+% of current manufacturers out of business within the year. The market is glutted to 3000% of capacity and well passed demand with AK and CHEAP AR rifles now. Flooding the market with imports will just destroy the gun market for a decade. But maybe that is exactly what somebody wants.---Ray

    1. Maybe, but there isn't many ppl producing AK's here, what one or two ? I'd take a Chinese ASK all day long....

    2. I would buy an AK, buy the price is simply just a little over what I can justify for my budget for a gun that I won't shoot all that much. If they could get it down to about three bills, I could do it. I think if they open up imports, this will probably be a close possibility, for used models.

    3. I bought a Chinese AK in the 90's before the import ban for $199.00 plus tax.wish I didn't sell it....

    4. Yep, that early '90's MAK was cheap and still works well. Hell, I don't think mine has ever jammed and the rounds are still less expensive than 5.56.
      Back then I also picked up a brand new Russian (milled, not stamped) SKS, still gummed up in cosmoline, for less than $100.

  2. Yup, 89 I picked up a SKS for 69.99 out the door, Chinese with bayonet new in the box.....
